Nigerian youths again used for selfish reasons. This politicians end up doing nothing after they have won. Time has come youths become sensible, if political agitation especially now protesters are easily termed terrorist, was to be of benefit, this politicians would have used their family members and not you. Nigeria politicians have used the Nigerian youth like a paper, to be discarded after. Joblessness has been the weapon in Nigerian politics, and the highest rate of joblessness falls on the youth. Thus a mere 5000 Nigerian naira will make a Nigerian youth go heads over hills, commit all manner of crimes, even die or be arrested and at the end gain nothing other than 5000 naira, while the politician smiles home and prepare the way for his sons and daughters to take over. No politician is free of this, they have all wetted the appetite of their ambition with the bloods of our youth. Just yesterday a group of youths is said to have stormed the secretariat in a bid to dislodge the Amalgamation of PDP Youth, a youth group who bunkered themselves in the secretariat earlier on Wednesday, June 15.
The Amalgamation of PDP Youth forced the evacuation of the Secretariat staff and then padlocked the front gate shut. Sources disclose however, that the latter youth group descended on the secretariat, destroyed the padlock, and entered the premises in full view of the police stationed nearby.
According to eyewitnesses, once the youth broke through the gate they began singing solidarity songs in support of Mr. Sheriff.
Both youth groups have vowed to occupy the secretariat offices until Today been Thursday.
In the same vein, protesters for and against the various interest groups in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stormed the national secretariat at Wadata Plaza on Wednesday, June 15, to share their opinions.
Some protesters called on PDP governors and other members of the party to leave Senator Ali Modu Sheriff alone and co-operate with him to move the party forward while the others asked the former chairman to vacate the office since he has been rejected.
There have been strong speculation that attempts by Ali Modu Sheriff, the immediate past chairman of the PDP to forcefully take over poweris a ploy by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to destroy the opposition party.
Sheriff had on Monday, June 13, stormed the Wadata Plaza National Secretariat headquarters of the PDP to seize the secretariat from the caretaker committee.
He was however refused entrance but vowed to continue in office as chairman till December 2018. But according to the caretaker committee of the PDP, Alhaji Ali Modu Sheriff was hired by the APC for the purpose of destroying the party.
At a media briefing held at a private residence on Tuesday, June 14, spokesman of the caretaker committee, Prince Dayo Adeyeye said the aim of the APC was to scuttle the chances of the PDP in the upcoming governorship election in Edo state .
