An Appeal to NYSC from a current serving corp member.

Please, I want to appeal to NYSC officials in this forum to see reasons why we, the corps members serving in Oku Iboku community in Akwaibom, need immediate relocation. We are all familiar with the fact that this community is having a serious border dispute with its counterpart in Calabar. This dispute has reached its nadir, as people are being butchered like meat every day. The community is in chaos right now. OK, just this morning, a corps member ran into gun men. They spared his life because the bike man carrying him knew one of the gun men.  Today, the few teachers that came to school fled before dismissal time for fear of attack. We cannot sleep here with our two eyes closed. It is terrible! Let me remind us that a dead person cannot serve his country__it's impossible!  We only vowed to serve Nigeria under the sun or in the rain not in insecurity. Therefore, I passionately appeal to NYSC officials to, as a matter of urgency, order the immediate relocation of corps members serving in this area. Many thanks!
